Score Type Options: Raw scores have values between 0 and 1 as recorded in the original assessment; subscores are simple totals of these raw scores. Standard scores are scaled from 0 to 100; subscores are weighted averages of these standard scores.

Custom Scores: Click the gear icon to exclude specific data categories, coverage, or openness elements from the score calculation. By default, all social, economic, and environmental categories will be weighted equally.

For more information on score weighting, see the ODIN 2022/23 Methodology Guide.

Following the early release of the ODIN 2022/23 data on 14 February 2023, a few revisions were conducted that resulted in changes in some of the country scores and rankings. In addition, country scores for 2016-2020 have been updated to reflect the category exemptions for subnational data (first and second administrative data). If there are any questions about these changes, please reach out to ODW at info@opendatawatch.com.
